3 Feb: Great Taste Trail, Wakefield
After resting up and spending the morning exploring Nelson, we enjoyed a shorter day on the bike.
A shorter day left time for playing in a skate park we passed.
The Great Taste Trail left the small city on bike paths, avoiding traffic, and soon we were pedaling on dirt roads and paths straight through vineyards and sheep pastures.
No break in the heat, so we swam in the Wai-iti River and camped along one of its tributaries in tiny Wakefield.
