17 Feb: Blenheim to Picton
Only 40 miles today, mostly along the winding Port Underwood Road, but this might have been the most climbing in any 40-mile stretch so far.
Three major climbs, two of which were on that New-Zealand-post-rain dirt, and lots of rolling terrain wrapped us back toward Marlborough Sounds. Showers turned to a steadier rain as we reached the top of the final climb, paused to layer up, and descended back to Picton.
Our grand loop of the South Island was complete, and with a few days to spare.
